Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally. In the UK, it is organised by the UK Safer Internet Centre with whom our eCadets and Digital Leaders recently made a film called ‘Let’s Create a Better Internet Together’. The film (made by a primary and secondary school from each region) was shown at events taking place in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England. These events were attended by the pupils who made the films and key government ministers. The Deputy Minister for Technology and Skills, Julie James AM, attended the Wales launch along with other guests from the Welsh Government, the Vale of Glamorgan Council, the Consortium and Llandaff diocese. Pupils from Sandfields Comprehensive School in Port Talbot, other local primary schools in the Vale and Cardiff and representatives from the national/ local press and media also joined us

All Saints Church in Wales Primary School, Barry is very proud to host the launch of Safer Internet Day for Wales. As a school, we are very aware of the role that information communication technology plays in building the future of our pupils. Therefore, it is imperative that our learners are, and remain, safe when using the internet and are equipped with the skills to enable then to become better and responsible digital citizens of the online community.

We fully support the Safer Internet Day message that ‘Ultimately, a better internet is up to us!’
